Job Summary

We're hiring an HVAC Inside Sales Representative to support our growing mechanical equipment business in Grand Rapids, MI. You'll work directly with customers, manufacturers, engineers, and our outside sales team to prepare quotes, coordinate equipment selections, manage orders, and keep projects moving from initial inquiry through delivery.

We specialize in fluid handling, filtration, and heat transfer equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, and air handling systems. We're looking for someone who already understands HVAC equipment and bid-spec projects, takes initiative, and enjoys solving technical challenges while building strong customer relationships.

What You'll Do

• Prepare equipment quotes, pricing, takeoffs, and submittals for HVAC and mechanical systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, and air handlers.

• Review bid-spec projects, interpret equipment requirements, and coordinate with engineers and outside sales representatives to ensure accurate selections and proposals.
\n
• Manage customer orders from initial request through delivery, tracking pricing, availability, lead times, and shipment schedules while keeping customers informed.
\n
• Work directly with manufacturers and vendors to source equipment and replacement parts, resolve technical questions, and coordinate order fulfillment.
\n
• Support customers and outside sales teams with product information, equipment selection, pricing, and project coordination.
\n
• Maintain accurate quotes, order records, and project documentation while managing multiple customer requests and deadlines.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
\n
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally 5–7 years in HVAC equipment sales, technical sales support, or related mechanical equipment applications.
\n
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and related systems.
\n
• Understanding of equipment sizing fundamentals, technical specifications, and bid-spec processes.
\n
• Ability to interpret project requirements, coordinate equipment selections, and prepare accurate quotes and submittals.
\n
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
\n
• Self-motivated, proactive approach to work, with the ability to operate independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
\n
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
\n
